This half term Class 3 are learning about Funny Bones and they are doing this through bones.

The children started this topic by going on an orienteering expedition and stumbling across some bones.  Class 3 then spent the afternoon researching these bones and building the skeleton, placing each bone in the correct place and labelling them with scientific names.

The children are beginning to write their own comic strips which are linked to the funny bones books written my Alan and Janet Ahlberg.  We have looked at the key features of comic strips and how to hook the reader.

In our numeracy we have been looking at different methods for all numeracy operations and using these to solve a range of problems. Also as a class we have continued to consolidate our multiplication tables especially in our 3 and 6 as this is our focus for the two months including the inverse.
