Following the Year Four trip to Cadbury’s World the children were asked to write and account of their visit in their Literacy lesson. Ami Dhame produced an excellent recount which we would like to share with you…
First we went into the Aztec jungle, it looked more like a rainforest than a jungle. The sound of the slippery, big headed snake frightened me. I was scared because it looked real. Also I saw silver and bronze money there was: 1ps, 2ps, 5ps, 10ps, 20ps, 50ps, £1.00 and £2.00 in the pond. I thought it was for good luck and wishes. We also saw some Aztec people, they also looked real as well as the snakes, with the sand underneath their feet.
Next class 4 met a fancy buccaneer. He told us about how chocolate was travelled from country to country. I didn’t understand him really, but I was listening. The buccaneer had a deep, dark voice just like a real pirate.
After that we ate some melted, delicious, creamy sweet, chocolate with either chocolate buttons, gummy bears or marshmallows. But I chose marshmallow because people say it’s really tasty. SUDDENLY the fire alarm went off. I could hear people shouting “WHAT IS GOING ON?” I was shocked. So we had to eat outside until we had gone inside this other place. It had disco balls and everything!
Finally we went back on the coach. I felt so sick, was crying for help. Alistair was at the front but quickly we swapped places, so I was at the front with Isa. I was really comfy and tired so I decided to fall asleep. Quickly I woke up then I had a very short chat with Isa about different books and story’s. Suddenly I felt a BUMP… the bump was near my hip, It was a flat tyre! I was panicking a lot. Then we had to climb over a protective fence Codi-Jo was scared, I felt sorry for her. But anyway the police came and they loudly phoned a different bus I felt better when we had walked inside the long bus. We managed to arrive safely home and with us we had extra chocolate!!
We had an adventure that nobody could have. But we worked as an amazing team to complete our trip.
