We were lucky enough to have some baby chicks in our classroom which we were able to stroke and hold. Mrs Atkins was able to answer all of our questions we had about chicks and how they grow to be adult chickens. We saw different types of chickens and we were able to identify them by their size and colour. We then created our own chicken fact files and wrote down some of the interesting facts we had learned. Such as, chicks hatch out form their egg after 21 days, and all chicks are born with an egg tooth which helps them hatch.
