Following our recent walk around Kimberworth, Class 2 visited Castleton in the Peak District as part of our contrasting localities topic.
We used a tally chart to find out what the most common shops in Castleton are and back at school we used a computer programme to make a bar chart to show our results.
There were lots of Bed and Breakfasts and gift shops because Castleton is a popular place for tourists to visit. We went into a fudge shop and the owner talked to us about how fudge is made before giving us a piece to taste.
It was delicious! We enjoyed walking around the village and looking at the beautiful countryside as well as picnicking with the sheep. After lunch we visited Peak Cavern which is also known as the Devil’s Ar*e.
If you want to know why, you will have to speak to a member of Class 2!
