Class 5 had a fantastic day at Rother Valley. We investigated the River Rother and used measuring equipment to discover the width and depth of the river. We also used our mathematical skills to calculate the speed the river water travelled using a formula. In the afternoon we went orienteering and had to navigate our group around the park using a map and compass to locate numbered check points. It was very tricky but we all made it back to the education centre safely (although we were quite muddy and exhausted!) Everyone had a fantastic day but there were a few aching legs the day after, particularly Miss Short’s!
