During Science week the children in foundation have been busy using their senses to explore. They have investigated the properties of slime (soap flakes and water) and gloop (cornflour and water). They have identified common everyday products by smell, and used a magnifying glass to look at Autumn leaves. They have jumped their way along sound discs, and tried to make a simple circuit to light a bulb. They have also found out about magnets and how ramps can be changed to make toy cars go faster.
Parents were invited to a science themed ‘Fun in Foundation session’ and participated with their child in a variety of Science activities including some involving colour, texture, mirrors and floating and sinking.
