Personal, Social and Health education (PSHE) is taught throughout Key Stages 1 and 2 with Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED) being delivered in the Foundation Stage.

PSHE education is central to everything we do at Kimberworth Community Primary School and we aim to develop confident, independent and ambitious children who are happy and ready to learn and achieve. It is taught in discrete lessons as well as through cross-curricular links. We also take part in focus days such as anti-bullying day, Children in Need and World Mental Health Day.

Through this subject we aim to develop the skills, knowledge and attributes pupils need to keep themselves physically and mentally healthy and safe and able to live productive lives as responsible and respectful citizens who meet their full potential.

To ensure that PSHE is taught consistently and that children’s knowledge and skills progress across our school we follow the Rotherham Primary Personal, Social and Health Education Scheme of Work.
