On Tuesday 17th April, Class 3 went to the Jorvik Centre in York to find out about the Vikings.

We all enjoyed a workshop on the clothes that Viking wore.  We learned how to spin wool, work the loom to make fabric and also learned how the Vikings dyed the fabric to get the rich colours. Two children dressed up as rich Vikings.

Before we went around the Viking village, we stood on a glass floor where underneath was a Viking house. We had to find a comb, brooch and some other things.

The children and staff enjoyed their day with the Vikings and we learnt a lot more about how the Vikings lived.
