Although it was the beginning of February we had great weather for our trip to Sherwood Forest.
Our day started by shelter building. The children worked in small teams to build shelters similar to the ones that Robin Hood and his Merry Men may have lived in hundreds of years ago.
|We had dinner then went to see the Major Oak.
We used the bows and arrows to see if we were expert archers like Robin Hood. Although it was lots of fun we decided that it is much better to go to the supermarket for our food rather than having to catch it ourselves.
Class 2 had a really super day at Sherwood Forest and the children were a credit to the school. We carried out questionnaires to collect data for our numeracy lesson and a number of people commented on how well mannered and polite our children were – so well done Class 2.
