In class 4 last term we were working on a topic all about Kimberworth. As part of our topic we visited St Thomas’s church and Keppel’s Column. We also transformed our classroom into a courtroom for the ‘trial of Admiral Keppel’ in which Admiral Keppel himself was interrogated and the jury decided his fate (they decided that he was innocent).

We had lots of fun dressing up and it was a great success! We have worked very hard and some of our work is on display in the classroom including our leaflets which advertise all there is to do in Kimberworth. Did you know that David Seaman was from Kimberworth? We also looked at how Kimberworth has changed over time and we found out that Kimberworth had once had 2 coal mines.
