Languages
At Kimberworth we believe that learning an additional language allows children to learn more about other cultures and broadens their understanding of the world.
We use the Language Angels schemes of learning to plan and deliver French lessons which include opportunities for speaking and listening, reading and writing activities, games and interactive resources.
Language learning stepping stones are built in to the programme and throughout the sequences of learning phonics, vocabulary and grammar are taught gradually and recycled continuously. Previous language is revisited and consolidated.
We aim for our children to develop an interest in and love of learning an additional language which will will continue in to their further education and beyond.
